Learn self-love through meditative practices, gentle painting and journaling. Access your innermost loving self and let your higher self guide you through your emotions to fully support your needs. Journal positive higher-self statements. We start with a zen exercise: sand raking, breathwork, or gentle qi gong movement. Then we discuss the chosen topic of the session, which revolves around a spiritual law or principle. We discuss how we can look upon ourselves with self-compassion in every situation. We journal whatever situation comes up personally for us. Next, we dive into playful artmaking using watercolors or acrylic paints and watercolor paper. In the final step, we activate the universal God/ higher self to tap into personal support. We become mindful of the loving, caring higher self who wishes deeply to support us. As a result of this connection, we write statements of support to add to the art piece. When practiced consistently, this powerful process has the potential to transform negativity to positivity, generate a healthy mindset, and relieve stress, anxiety and depression. Supply List: 1. Watercolor paper – 9 x 12 inch, 140 lb./300gsm. If you don’t have this type, any watercolor paper is fine. Different sizes of paper are fine, also. 2. Paints – a set of watercolor or acrylic paints plus black chalk paint or acrylic paint. 3. 3 or 4 Brushes – a variety of sizes, but will be using medium and small sizes, preferably round tip, but not necessary. 4. Paint Pens or Markers – White gel pen or paint pen to write. 5. Other supplies – A cup of water to rinse brushes; paper towels; a journal or paper to write self-support statements. *You may also use a Zen sand garden or just watch. Either way promotes relaxation.
